The Leonardo is a definite step up from the Jury Inn that was here before. We chose it due to its location at an end of the pedestrian street. Breakfast buffet was lovely. The shower worked well, and after flying into Dublin, then driving to Galway, we were ready for a bed and a nap. Everything was fine. The price is high compared to the Jury before, but you can’t beat the location. Also, with the parking garage next door, the hotel validated our parking ticket so it was 12 euros instead of 20 euros. Of course my husband wanted to wander around some more, so we had an extra 6 euros to pay when we left.

A really excellent location to explore Galway City. (Especially the music bars). Staff very friendly and helpful.

Good hotel in a convenient location. Staff friendly but also very undermanned for check-in. Our group and others waited a too long to register and rooms were not available. Again NOT a staff issue.

We ended up in two different rooms during our stay. The first room was absolutely disgusting-floor tiles not cleaned by shower, splatters down the walls, moths in folded towels, baseboards were coated with grime. The second room was mildly better but was also poorly cleaned. Will not stay here again.

The location was perfect, steps away from the Latin Quarter and the Spanish Arch. The hotel was very safe and offered breakfast as well as a lounge/bar area that served food. There is also a large outdoor area with picnic tables and seating that is next to the river. The staff were very helpful in recommending food options and things to do in town. The rooms were nice, but smaller in the european style. The location is hard to beat, as you're in the middle of everything that downtown has to offer. I was very impressed by this place.

Right by the water and the pubs. Really good area. We saw dolphins in the harbor. The only concern is how tight the parking garage is. The smallest turns we've ever seen and we've driven around Europe. Everyone had to back up several times to make the turns around the corners. Nice breakfast.
