This little roadside motel in Clinton, CT is quite bad. One waits with a phone outside to try to check in at night. The air in the room was stale, so one has to blast a wall-mounted AC unit just to get breathable air. The staff is very unfriendly and unwelcoming. It's like guests are an inconvenience. Do not stay at the Lamp Light motel in Clinton, Ct. There are other "cheap" motels along RT 1 (Boston Post Rd) in the area

When I stay in this part of CT, I always stay at the Lamplighter. Every time I am there, Clean Room,Comfortable Bed. Good Air Conditioning, Everything Works, close to the highway, reasonable price, good restaurants within a quick walking distance, plus a fridge and microwave. I'll be back again in a few weeks.
