The staff and the property were great, however, the hot water did not last long when taking a shower, also the free breakfast was terrible, the boiled eggs tasted grainy, possibly frozen at some point, muffins were not much better, for a resort you would think that the breakfast would have offered more choices, this one is something I would expect from a motel 6 The bar and grill on the other hand was amazing, staff was great and the food was also

Understaffed, and even with the few that were there, they worked very hard to try and make things as best as possible with three conditions they had to work in. The place was run down and rooms had so many broken and “run down” issues…we had to make a formal complaint. We’d been here before because it was beautiful and very relaxing… but it was made clear that the new owners don’t care about one single aspect of running a reputable business. This place has Soooooo much potential and it’s very said to see how far it’s gone downhill. We felt very badly for the hard working employees.

Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The property was not what I had expected it seemed rather isolated. There was no walking along the lakeshore it is just the beach in front of the hotel. When I went to the desk to ask for a second key I was told they were out of keys and also there was no soap, I feel like this is something that should never happen at a hotel. The pizza we ordered at the restaurant was very good! However the service was not great and even after remaking the pizza the order was not correct. Overall the stay was fine, but based on this visit would not make a point to return.

The breakfast had no protein options. The restaurant could not help all the patrons so you had long waits. The food was bad. No towels at the pool area. Our room was never cleaned.

We really enjoyed our overall stay at Lakeside Resort and Conference Center! The outside amenities are fantastic—the grounds are well-kept, there’s plenty to do outdoors, and the setting makes it very easy to relax and enjoy the resort. The inside of the room was comfortable and clean, and the staff was friendly throughout our visit. The only reason for taking off one star is that our balcony was completely taken over by giant spiders and webs, to the point where we unfortunately couldn't step out and use it at all. While being right near the water naturally attracts bugs, a quick power wash or pest sweep of the balconies before check-in would make a big difference. That aside, the outdoor spaces and amenities more than made up for it, and we’d definitely consider staying here again!
