Beautiful site, scenery & pool. Room quality moderate, not updated, but decent enough. Sounds through walls were like it was paper thin- you would swear people were in your room, just from standing on back patio. Alarm set to 5am for no reason, fun! Restaurant and bar staff extremely lengthy, unhelpful, rude & bad attitude through observation the whole time. Half our food was truly not edible, had to leave property 2 hrs later to get fast food- chicken sandwich black and hard all throughout, like swallowing small bones. They did refund for that after trip. Lobby understaffed and always 30-45 min wait. We wanted to stay 2 additional nights, but they could not accomodate.

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. This hotel has a central building housing the checkin, coffee shop, restaurant, lounge, pool, gift shop all overlooking Lake Powell. The decor and view was beautiful. They have a nice walking path along the lake. We ate at the restaurant one night for a special meal. Very delicious and great atmosphere. $$ There are seven separate housing buildings -we stayed in building number one. In this building our hand railing at the top of the stairs was broken and detached from the wall. The room was disappointing after seeing the main public area. It was clean and the beds were comfortable but the furniture was very old and worn. We had three surprises. Looking back the description does say national park but no details. This restaurant is in a national recreational area. You either have to pay an entry fee to the property or show your America the Beautiful National Park Pass. We did have a pass and had to show it each time we entered. Next surprise, the buildings with the rooms are two stories and have no elevators. Third surprise, everything is cashless- coffee shop and snacks, gift shop etc. We were okay with that but some people may not like that. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Morning coffee on the pool deck overlooking the beautiful lake was very peasant.

Check in process was slow, due to the front desk being understaffed, which was exactly happened the next morning to get coffee. The property was amazing and the views were stunning. The beds were comfortable but the rooms are dated.
