I booked this hotel based on its location and the description provided online. The main reason for my stay was that I was recovering from surgery and wanted a peaceful, relaxing environment where I could enjoy the ocean view during my healing process. Unfortunately, my experience was not as relaxing as I had hoped due to extensive construction taking place at the property. The noise was disruptive, making it difficult to enjoy the beautiful ocean view from the balcony. Waking up to the sound of a jackhammer right outside my window was certainly not what I had anticipated. I was also disappointed to discover that there was no elevator access to my room, requiring me to walk up several outdoor flights of stairs. Honestly, I am not sure this would have been manageable without my husband’s assistance, especially while recovering from surgery. I wish I had been informed prior to booking that significant construction was underway and that the pool and hot tub areas would also be impacted, making them difficult to enjoy. While the location and ocean views were appealing, the overall experience fell short of what I expected, particularly given the purpose of my stay. Had I known about the construction and accessibility limitations beforehand, I would have made a different choice. I hope the hotel will be more transparent with future guests so they can make an informed decision before booking.

I didn’t have any hot water. The water in the sink was cold. The shower had lukewarm water. I complained a couple times about it, but nothing was done about it.

It was under construction. However the staff was so amazing that any snafus were handled brilliantly.

The staff is very responsive and promptly addressed our requests. The hotel is currently undergoing major renovations and construction. Once completed would be a great place to stay.
