A budget option in Graz, it does exactly what it says in the tin. It’s a budget Ibis, part of Mercure hotels, very good value, the rooms are comfortable, newly re burnished at least on floor 4, and everything works as it should. It’s very close to tram lines 3 and 5 for getting into the heart of the city but it’s only an 8-10 minute walk. The staff are very helpful and full of suggestions on where to eat etc. Breakfast was budget continental and the variety had enough to please everyone. Check in is from 3pm and check out noon and the staff will happily store your bags for you. Certainly more than acceptable if you want to save on room prices which can jump up significantly literally 5 minutes walk away.

The rooms smelled of cigarette smoke and were filthy. The breakfast was one of the worst I have had. I would rather sleep in my car than to ever set foot in this hotel again.

We arrived late at night after reception had closed so we did self check in which worked well. Yhe room was very basic. No kettle or tea and coffee and only 1 plug socket in the whole room. When we woke the next morning there were ants all over the floor

Clean room, comfortable bed. Great location and excellently friendly staff. Basic hotel, but but good value for the money.
