I stayed here but couldn’t get much sleep. I was placed near the main road so all I could hear was people talking, shouting and trains screeching. The place was nice and staff friendly and was clean and tidy. Room was spacious. Breakfast was ok. Good variety but not much change around for freshness. Day1 breakfast was better than day 2. Overall 3 1/2 out of 5

Dirty room, smelly portaloo style bathroom and no remote control, not a great start! Followed up nicely with roadworks through the night outside my window.

Quirky basic hotel with the minimum facilities in the room. Bed was hard so difficult to sleep well, floor was not carpeted so cold on the feet and you could hear the people on the next floor clomping around. Hotel security was good and the staff helpful but not very cheerful. The buffet breakfast was ok and plentiful. However no choice of eggs, it was scrambled or scrambled and that's it. Restaurant meals we're basic but with good portions and reasonable prices. Very close to the station so very convenient for travellers.
