We picked this hotel because of its location; less than 5 minutes walk to the promenade and in the old town and its price. We had booked a deluxe double room as the site showed that it had twin beds. However, when we arrived at the hotel in the early afternoon to check in we were advised that the room was not a twin room - rather a double bed with two duvets. The room was small with no balcony and the windows were difficult to open. The room needs an upgrade and the furnishings are a bit worn.

Positives:friendly reception and catering staff. Breakfast was excellent and delicious 😋. Location was excellent. Room cleaned every day. Lovely terrace. Hot and cold drinks available all day on ground floor.Great night's sleep. Negatives; on 2 separate occasions we came back at the end of the day to find our room door left open. Tiniest lift which barely fits 2 people. Tea tray never refilled. 2 single beds pushed together meant 1 of us kept getting trapped in the middle.Room smelled of smoke despite being a non smoking hotel.

Staff were all helpful and friendly. Breakfast choice & quality of food was excellent. Some of the rooms were a little tired decor wise, but they were clean and more than adequate for our weekend break. Situated close to a tram stop, so easy access to airport & Old Nice town. 5 minute walk to Promenade des Anglais. We had a lovely stay, and would definitely use this hotel again
