Good budget hotel with good size rooms. The bathroom is also roomy with a large shower . This is essentially a business hotel but contains a sofa bed as well as the double , it has a desk and a comfortable office chair the room had easy access tp two lifts . The staff are helpful and friendly the dining and seating areas are near reception which is clean and has plenty of light . The breakfast was buffet and very good ,they also have a dining menu which we did not use . The hotel has good WiFi and free parking . The location was also good 5-6 miles from Barnsley ,with a supermarket opposite and easy access to low cost restaurants and fast food outlets . The hotel is also very close to a country park . A few niggly problems ,our last stay at a different Holiday Inn the sink had no plug ,this one had one but it was broken . There was a problem with the electrical socket but we were moved to a different room . Also found the air condition a little noisy at night . Yes we liked this hotel

Initially a bit disappointed at the location but that was more than mitigated by interactions with numerous staff during our stay who were all exceptional in their friendly and helpful manner. The best of any hotel that I have stayed at. Well done.
