The accommodation was very basic with not much in the way of amenities. The buffet breakfast was extensive with a large choice and very good quality.

For what it was the price was extortionate, no AC (undergoing refurb) the fan that was in the room was the only I’ve ever known to not blow properly even though it was spinning! The top was tired, in desperate need of modernising. Only thing in its favour was its sea front location but certainly not worth £186 per night

The best thing about this hotel is the revolving door out of it!! I tried to check in at 3.15 told checkin not until 4pm. The foyer chairs were taken, lounge was cordoned off. I Sat in the bar the table was sticky and chairs dirty. My room 127 was a balcony room it was very dated. The shower bath didn’t drain away and a terrible smell. The carpet was tacky horrid stains dread to think and the sofa and chair had terrible staining. I sat on my bed. I didn’t eat or drink anything at the hotel as it felt dirty so I avoided breakfast. I ate dinner at a local restaurant. I was awoken by drilling at 2am. My neighbouring room tried opening the interconnected door at 3.30am. I stay in lots of hotels for work I’ve never stayed at such a horrid dirty feeling hotel. I left earlier than I needed to. I’ll stick with my usual hotel in Eastbourne and drive across. The Receptionist this morning was lovely, and apologised and said they have building work going on. I explained that didn’t excuse the dirty furnishings and sticky carpet. It’s Not her fault though.

The room was very clean, the bed very comfortable. Staff were friendly and ready to help with any inquiries to make the stay easy. Check in was very quick. Free car parking a great bonus! Easy walk to a lot of attractions. Would definitely recommend others to stay there.
