Not a great stay. Hotel is run down, poorly run in my view and the bedrooms are dated. Reception is dated with an old sofa with dirty cushions. Not a great first impression. Room was dated, think hollow fibre pillows and lumpy unsporting bed. Duvet is virtually paper thin and not effective. Minimal amenities. Ensuite very basic, shower tray seal hanging off. No amenities or style. Bar staff are pleasant enough but seemed a little stressed, and you cannot order drinks and food in the same transaction which is odd. Food itself was ok but the choice is limited to pizza and curries so certainly will not be to everyone's taste. Didn't have breakfast as service did not start until 7am which is not great for a hotel used by trades. At check out there were no staff so was unable to collect a receipt. Have been trying to get a copy for two days now with no luck. On the last night there appears to be a fight near my room at around 2am with lots of shouting, crashing and banging. Really not ideal. I can't get my head around the fact that this place has good reviews.

Caution needed, at 10:30 in the evening a member of staff knocked on my door and immediately let themselves in my room to confirm my name! When challenged about it, the response was ‘Will I did knock!’ Which was true enough but they did not wait for me to open the door, they used a master key and just walked in! Just wrong!. In addition, it’s tired, you can feel every spring in the bed, just cheap.

The staff at the hotel were extremely nice and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I ate in the restaurant the first night and was impressed. It has a large carpark and easy access.

Comfortable and the lady on the front desk was incredibly helpful regarding my pregnant wife and her shananigans.
