Great room with plenty of space and very quiet- no noticeable noise from other guests or the road. Secure underground parking available at an extra cost. Very comfortable bed. Fridge, kettle and proper mugs in the room. We used the laundry room which was great- costs around £2.40 for each wash/drying cycle. There’s also an iron and ironing board in the room. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant and it was very good and reasonably priced too. Gym is open 24 hours and has some decent equipment and hand weights, plus the room has air conditioning which is always a plus. There is a water filter machine near reception and it’s free to use. Staff were very friendly and helpful with transport information and suggestions of places to visit. The hotel is a little way from the centre of the city but easy to reach by tram or bus, taking approximately 10 minutes. The bus stops right outside the hotel and the walk to the tram stop is about 10 minutes. We walked into the centre along the river and it took 25 minutes. There’s a Carrefore supermarket next door to the hotel. The only negative point is that the air conditioning was not cool enough. We would definitely stay here again.

I recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Bordeaux Centre for several nights and would like to share a balanced account of my experience. The staff were consistently attentive and professional throughout my stay, promptly addressing any requests. The breakfast buffet was also excellent, offering a wide selection of high-quality options that made for an enjoyable start to each day. Regarding areas for improvement: upon check-in, I found the bathroom sink to be non-functional. This was resolved promptly once reported to the front desk, and I appreciated the quick response. However, I did notice mold in the shower, which fell short of the standard I would expect from a hotel of this caliber and warrants attention from housekeeping or maintenance. Additionally, prospective guests should be aware that despite the "Centre" designation, the hotel's location results in a notable commute to downtown Bordeaux. This is worth factoring into travel plans, particularly for those intending to spend most of their time in the city center. In summary, this hotel offers genuine strengths in service and dining, though the maintenance issues and location merit consideration before booking.
