Generally I will say value for money stay. + nice and clean room + nice breakfast ( but same next day) + shampoo/ conditioner/shower gel in the bathroom + comfortable main bed + nice bedding and towels + polite staff + nice / polite/ helpful staff at the breakfast - tv has no signal - staff apologies but do nothing to sort the issue - mentioned issue several times and heard the engineer will fix it in the morning/ than engineer will fix it later evening/ during check out I heard apologies but engineers not working during weekends - stay 2 nights with kids without tv difficult - no compensation offered - no discounts for inconvenience - no other room offered - sofa bed terrible uncomfortable It was my birthday weekend. Bit disappointed. I love Peak District and definitely will be back to the area but do I choose this hotel again? I don’t think so.

We stay at this hotel regularly when visiting Sheffield as it is close to our daughter’s accommodation. It’s a bit further to walk from the train station than other hotels but the walk is worth it for the excellent breakfast and friendly staff. Is also close to The Shakespeare pub and Kelham Island for a great pub crawl.

The hotel was fully booked, and the breakfast area was crowded. Despite this challenging situation, everything continued to run smoothly and comfortably.
