There is a $100 deposit, and that's fine. I was told I would get it back the next day and still haven't received it yet. And we left the place spotless. It might be 3-10 business days. I've just never not got it back the following day. Only complaint.

Embassy has been my goto for years, but not all properties are the same. This facility is outdated and in need of change. The Managers reception was mere snacks from kroger or Walmart, placed in bowls. Our pullout sofa bed had no linens and had to be requested from the desk. This is becoming common place for Hilton properties

I thought last night that I’ve been visiting the Embassy Suites Birmingham for more than 20 years. Our experience with room 820 reached a two-decade low. We spent our first 30 minutes with cleaning and repair people in our room. A partial list of problems: 1. Started at the motorized revolving front door, no longer motorized, seeming to require the strength of Hercules to move 2. The room door had a 1”-2” open space underneath it. 3. The room phone didn’t work. 4. So, I had to use my cell phone to call the front desk and report the huge pile of trash under the sink. 5. The bathroom sink was clogged, causing a bowl of backed-up water after simply washing your hands that took forever to drain. 6. The bathtub water would not shut off. We left it running at an estimated 1-2 gallons per minute and informed the desk clerk as we left. 7. The floor was filthy, littered with dead bugs and wads of hair. 8. There was an unfinished paint repair on the bedroom entrance door. 9. The bathroom door was damaged on the inside. When I reported the problems, both at night and during checkout, not once did I hear an apology. There was “Oh my gosh,” “I’ll let them know,” and “Thanks for letting us know.” If, “It’s better to be a member,” which I am, I would hate to what it would have been like if I weren’t.
