We stayed for 9 days, so we had enough time to get a good sense of the hotel. The hotel itself is good, the service is okay, but the room cleaning service is slow. There were days when we came back from the beach at 5 p.m. and our room still hadn’t been cleaned. The activities are good for the most part. The Wednesday jazz and the saxophone performances on Tuesdays and Thursdays are highlights, as is the morning yoga. The gym is good, but it gets very crowded at certain times, and some children end up going in, probably because there isn’t another suitable space for them. The only real criticism I would have is the breakfast. Besides being somewhat monotonous, there were days when there were very few fruit options. My wife also got sick because she has an allergy and was given incorrect information by the staff. Employees told her that she could eat certain foods, but there was actually milk in the preparation. For three days, we became suspicious of different foods, and every time the staff gave us incorrect information. Eventually, we figured out ourselves which food contained milk and asked the chef about it, who confirmed our suspicion. There are also no proper signs indicating gluten or other allergens, and the staff themselves aren’t able to provide reliable information. There is only a small gluten-free section, which isn’t enough, and it is still located very close to the other foods. That said, aside from this issue, I would recommend the hotel. The room was comfortable & clean. Staff were extremely friendly & helpful… We ate at the bar quite frequently & would like to mention Amar & Amy.. both made us feel very welcome & we got to know them quite well during our 9 night stay! Food was delicious..

Property is maybe 20 minutes from the airport - well kept property, clean and well appointed - staff friendly and helpful when needed. Only gripe I had was my rooms ac just wasn’t doing it for me - usually I’d want to feel frosty and want to turn it down a notch… found myself sweating at moments in the room more noticeable in the evening - other than that, great stay - I do recommend it - beach was well kept as well

The rooms, the property and the staff were great! Not super close to the city but a great location to explore the northern beaches. The fine dining at JFK was lovely (Razil was great!), the Salty Iguana was fun and breakfast buffet very good.
