The room was fine and the staff was very helpful. My main complaint was that the pool was closed for renovations; had I known that I would have stayed elsewhere as it was a very hot day. The hotel sent me a message before check in saying the elevator was closed due to renovations but nothing about the pool

The place was under construction and we paid more for what we thought was a good brand only to arrive at a run down hotel that was under construction and breakfast didn’t have what was being offered for which I paid extra and upfront for a incomplete breakfast… it was so bad it became a joke between my wife and I… do you want sausage or bacon with your eggs? Sausage, oh sorry we’re out of sausage. That went on throughout the ordering process. My wife continues to offer me things today only to say to me after I say yes I’d like that, “sorry we’re out of that…”

Overall, my stay was okay, and the staff was friendly. However, I was very disappointed that the hotel did not disclose anywhere on its website that it was undergoing renovations. The main reason I chose this hotel was because of the amenities, specifically the pool and gym, and neither was available during my stay. Had I known those amenities were closed, I would have booked a different hotel. I understand that renovations are sometimes necessary, but guests should be informed before booking so they can make an informed decision. Transparency goes a long way. I hope the hotel updates its website to clearly communicate any closures so future guests know what to expect.
