We chose Coral Princess before our cruise because of the centrally "walkable" location to a lot of restaurants as well Walgreens & the beach. The pictures looked very pretty & we were interested in the option of the small pool.(there was 1 chair & 1 lounger) When we walked in lobby area was beautiful shiny marble, the staff were very kind, so nice, friendly & welcoming. A room happened to be available early so we were thrilled to be able to check in. We reserved a small room 1 night & it was good for 2. The room was very clean (altho it smelled powerfully strong of bleach that didn't dissipate while we were there) The bathroom had a beautiful stone tiled shower. A sign on the wall next to the toilet read "DO NOT FLUSH ANY TOILET PAPER" I don't know if all of the hotel's rooms have this sign.. We've seen this in small less developed Caribbean islands but NEVER in our 18 years of going there in a San Juan hotel!. We eventually found that the toilet would not flush at all but just filled up with water @ which point it would go down. the front desk couldn't do anything or switch our room because they had a full house. It was not a great experience at all we wojld not recommend this hotel

Would not recommend , completely disappointed with the lack of professionalism and understanding for unforeseen circumstances, kept my entire payment when I was physically unable to make it to my reservation due to airline problems and when given the opportunity to negotiate they were unwilling, guess that’s business for you, but I am left with never recommending this place to any of my business partners

The location is great, the hotel and room were clean. The main issues were the lack of or no hot water and the poor way of making sure the guests that are paying extra for parking actually can use the parking. One of the nights, me and another guest had to park in a parking lot three blocks away due to two non paying guests taking our spots. Instead of the non paying guests being towed, the paying guests had to go outside of property and pay additional fees. I had to complain and threaten to call the owner for the manager to agree to refund me the parking g fee for one night and refund the cost of the outside parking lot.

Our experience at the Coral Princess Hotel was unacceptable from beginning to end. When we arrived at 2:00 p.m., our room was not ready, and we had to wait almost 40 minutes to check in. Once we entered the room, we discovered there was no running water. Despite charging destination fees, the hotel was unwilling to move us to another room with water. Instead, they told us to use a bathroom in another room. I had to use one of our two bottles of water just to brush my teeth. My brother went to use the bathroom in the other room, but that room also had no water. He left without being able to flush the toilet. I requested to speak with the manager, but he refused to speak with me or my brother and would not provide his name. The receptionist was left to handle the situation alone while the manager avoided direct communication. In my opinion, hotel management should be available to guests when serious problems occur. We had to contact Expedia, and only after their intervention were we able to receive a refund. While leaving the hotel, we became trapped in the elevator. I am claustrophobic, and this caused me to have a panic attack. It was almost midnight, and we had to find another hotel at that hour. I understand that unexpected issues can happen, but what matters is how a hotel responds. Guests should not be expected to stay without basic necessities like running water or feel abandoned when seeking help. This was an unacceptable experience for me, my husband, and my brother.
