Friendly hotel in a great location. Lots of good restaurants in nearby villages. Rooms a little tired and could do with a vacuum. Very friendly staff.

We received a warm welcome and the room was very clean and comfortable. Evening meal of mushroom risotto was delicious. The breakfast was very tasty.

Even though the hotel is spread over various buildings the one we were in was very comfortable and clean. They catered for out dog too providing a bed, towel, blanket and bowls. The meals were very good and our dog was able to be with us. There was a large field for walks. The staff were very knowledgeable about the area.

Stayed in room 24. Hot water was hit and miss despite it being checked.. room also needed a lot of touching up, damage to walls, wall paper, fan blades needed cleaning.. Windows difficult to close due to damage to the closing mehcanism . Bed very comfortable great breakfast selection if you're not a vegetarian or don't eat pork distinct lack of options for vegan/veggie sausages.

We had a nice friendly welcoming reception, Our room was very nice, no air conditioner but they provide fan which works well. Although there's one floor, there's no lift not that we didn't need it, Good facilities, tea coffee etc and complimentary water also a safe, Restaurant if very good, nice friendly staff and very reasonable priced food options. The only criticism I have is that the doors slam very quickly and make a loud noise which can disturb you also you can hear the people/tv in the next room, so if you're a light sleeper I'd take ear plugs. I would stay there again. It's also right next to a large national trust property. Gogs are very welcome aswell.

Absolutely beautiful area , the hotel has so much potential, unfortunately it’s tired and dirty . The bar and restaurant area is lovely food and staff are fab . Rooms dark and dirty Bedding and towels clean Strong smell of cannabis at night Could be so much better , one to keep an eye on 😎
