The location is perfect for tourism and the view from our Seine River view room, which costs extra, was spectacular. Metro is just a 5 minute walk. The front desk staff is great! Very nice folks. But you do have to clean your own room, including bringing down your towels and trash to the lobby and get new room supplies. We were not prepared for that, but OK, we can do it. The room was odd shaped and definitely was not as nice as the one pictured in Hotels.com. But it had a desk area, kitchenette and a foyer, though that served little purpose beyond giving you room to get in the door with your luggage without being cramped into the bed. Breakfast is extra. A/C cools the room, but only if you make it run all the time and turn it down all the way. But we did enjoy our time there with no regrets. We wouldn't spend this much again if we return to Paris.

We were quite disappointed with our check-in experience. We were specifically asked whether we wanted a double bed or two single beds, and we clearly requested two singles. However, when we got to our room, it was the wrong room and did not have the two single beds we had requested. We then had to make our way back down to reception with three large suitcases and our carry on, which was frustrating and inconvenient after travelling. Unfortunately, when we explained the mistake, the staff did not offer any assistance with our luggage back to the correct room which we felt was disappointing. Another issue was the coffee machine downstairs. There were rarely any clean cups available, so we repeatedly had to ask reception for one. On one occasion, we were told that we should use the cups from our room upstairs instead, which we felt was rather rude and not particularly welcoming. That said, there were also several positives. The breakfast was very nice, with plenty of options, and the hotel is in a good location. The beds were comfortable, and we also really appreciated having the water machine available, which was a convenient touch. Overall, we enjoyed some aspects of our stay, particularly the location, breakfast and comfortable beds, but the issues with check-in, lack of assistance with our luggage and the coffee facilities made the experience less enjoyable than we had hoped.
