I stayed with my parents in the family room. The room was very large with a lovely 4 poster bed and 2 single beds. The view was jaw dropping. However, the bathroom was quite awful at this price point - a plastic cabin plonked unceremoniously in the side of the room witha tiny shower and barely any space to maneuver, with no place to hang towels or clothes. The walls at the entrance were plastered with pictures of the owner with various right wing figures such as Nigel Farage, Donald Trump, Candace Owens etc. Not for me, but YMMV. The lady at the reception was lovely and allowed us to leave our car there after checkout whilst we were visiting Tintagel Castle.

Feel totally ripped off by this extremely over-priced “hotel” room. We paid for a classic four poster room with sea view for our wedding anniversary. The room was cold, outdated and had the mother of all carbuncles placed to the side of the window that was apparently posing as a bathroom - it would be better placed on an aircraft or in a caravan, not a picturesque castle - all in all a bitterly disappointing experience that will not be repeated. The owner is an artist and the whole place is splattered with his “art” work. The bar area and the entrance lobby that leads into a main dining area is quite impressive but that is just an illusion aimed at those day trippers who stop by for an afternoon tea etc. once you go up the stairs the reality dawns and we felt deceived. It was a poor quality night of sleep whereby when anyone walked along the corridor the floorboards under the bed jolted which would wake you up - not great at 5 in the morning! The bedrooms need major investment and proper bathrooms installed. £280 for one night in a mock castle, devoid of warmth and lacking in ambiance was not £280 well spent! This place could be really special but doubt it ever will be whilst the current ethos remains in place. Save your money or stay in a truly authentic castle such as Leeds Castle or Amberley Castle which are both truly impressive.

Stayed in a small double room as it was the only room available at the time of booking. Clean and had all you need just the bed was small for two adults. Wonderful place with fantastic views overlooking the ocean and Tintagel Castle. We had afternoon tea and it was amazing seating by the window overlooking the Castle. I recommend this hotel for a unique experience just book in advance as it’s popular place to stay. There are nice pubs and cafes in the village itself with really good food if you don’t prebook dinner and breakfast. Don’t miss out when in Tintagel

We had a lovely stay at the Camelot Castle Hotel, with a good sized room that was clean and comfortable. As it's a dog friendly hotel, we could hear two dogs yapping in the room next door. We also found that the room had a "wet dog" smell each time we returned to our room but were unable to air the room as we couldn't open the windows. Due to the age of the building and retrospective fitting, the bathroom is very bijou, but usable (as long as you're not too large). Fine for a weekend. Due to availability, we had a moor view room, which was lovely, but would definitely try to get a sea view room if staying again. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and the food was delicious and very well presented. Bar staff very helpful and friendly. Excellent location, a short walk to Tintagel Castle along the road to the main entrance, and we also walked back along the coastal path from Tintagel beach / Merlin's Cave after our visit to the castle.

We highly respect the owner and what a beautiful location the hotel sits. The only downside was that our bathroom was so small it was hard to shower in.
