Alex on reception was very helpful and went out of his way to accommodate our wishes, can't praise him enough. Been to Boringdon Hall a number of times, and every time we come back rejuvenated. Always a clean room.

Second time visiting this hotel after a gap of 5 years. I really wanted to give it 5 stars as it’s in a beautiful location and the main hotel is really very lovely. Particularly liked the drawing rooms downstairs for relaxing with a good book and the lovely gardens for afternoon tea and more. Steeped in history, I enjoyed reading about times gone by. Food was of a high standard across the board. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss with staff becoming overwhelmed quite quickly. However, having visited this hotel previously I was disappointed in the Spa. The facilities would benefit from a deep clean and some maintenance. As the spa is quite small and shared by hotel guests, day guests and members of the spa/gym membership, it can get very busy and crowded I found the towel on the hook situation a bit tedious, especially as a hotel paying guest. One day I went for a quick swim but left ntvggg bun

Checked out on arrival as the room had no air conditioning and the temperature of the room was at least 45 degrees, we were offered a fan but this would not have helped. The room was also really small, with an unpleasant smell but it was nicely furnished.Requested another room as apparently some rooms do have a.c. (The hallway leading to the room was a pleasant temperature) we were told they were fully booked (although Trivago showed 3 rooms available when we looked for somewhere else) Thankfully we received full refund.
