Ideal location for single traveller, fridge, microwave and coffee machine, spacious room with balcony with view to the harbour and moored Tall ship ‘ Star of India. . Coffee and tea and water in reception. Nice pool. Maid service at request, I preferred to do it myself for my 5 night stay. Easy walking to see the sights, cafes and restaurants close by. Two blocks across the trolley tracks to the harbour.front. A good grocery store, Ralph’s , on G street and between 1st and 2nd avenue near GasLamp quarter. Transport is cheap $2.50 per ride, centred at Santa Fe station and adjacent America Plaza, located on India and Broadway. Rapid MTS bus 215 to San Diego Zoo, and Balboa Park. Bus stop to Airport ( both terminals) on Broadway at SF Depot or West AshSt and Harbour Blvd. The zoo was underwhelming tbh for $75 entry, and not easy to photograph most animals. The SD Newer may be a better bet but I didn’t go. Escondido is nearest public transport, Blue trolley line. A lot to see in Balboa Park, museums about $25 or get a bundle. The Old Town was worth a a couple of hours, Blue trolley.

It was a solid place however you had to request the front desk to clean the room which I thought was a bit odd. I liked the pool and work out room. Good location to airport, gaslamp , petco park , all attractions.

Great stay and wonderful base to explore downtown San Diego on foot and via public transport. Close to airport, AMTRAK, bus and trams. We utilize the sightseeing bus/trolley for getting around the city too. Great restaurant choices nearby and the ferry to Coronado is close by as well. Definitely would recommend and on the list for a repeat stays.
