Right next to the beach and lighthouse. Nice room and breakfast. Slight inconvenience of no outlets next to bed and Bathroom outside of room.

Lovely place for a quiet getaway on the Danish coastline. Hirthals has quite an interesting history that is worth checking out. The hotels is located perfectly on the seaside, with great sunsets to enjoy. Breakfast is very well arranged, small but everything you need. The restaurant offers a good selection of seafood and parking is free. Also perfect place to stay if you take the ferry to Norway!

We stayed one night at B&B by the Sea in Hirtshals during our trip and had a room at the top of the house. The reception was very nice, and overall there is really nothing major to complain about. However, the room was very warm, which can be good to know during the summer. The toilets were located in the corridor directly adjacent to the room and worked well, but the walls were perceived as quite responsive and you could hear noises from the room next door. There was also no fridge in the room, which would have been handy for us during the trip. Breakfast was good standard and served in an environment with very nice views, which gave a very nice start to the day. Parking is conveniently located opposite the hotel. For electric car travelers, it can be good to know that we did not see any charging facility in place. In summary, a nice, well-run and personal B&B with friendly service, good breakfast and nice surroundings. Some less practical details, like the warmth upstairs and responsiveness, but for a shorter overnight stay it worked well for us.

The place itself was nice and the location was convenient for the ferry. However, we specifically booked this property and paid extra compared to other options because the listing said there was a washing machine. When we arrived, we were told there was no washing machine, which was very frustrating as we are on a long road trip and needed to do laundry. We also messaged the hotel through Expedia before arriving but never received a reply. Once there, it was almost impossible to reach a staff member, other than the girls working in the restaurant. Overall, nice place and good location, but the listing should be accurate and communication needs to be much better.
