Yannis who served at the front desk was so helpful! He deserves a promotion.

So we're traveling from the US, and accustomed to larger accomodations than what is generally available in most of Europe. We chose the family rooms option because of the size. I'm not sure whether the property had a busy summer or if this is how the property normally is, but our room was a bit run down and tired. Frayed pillow cases, broken pocket door, etc... On the positive side, rooftop views were great, the breakfast was good, and the staff were very positive and helpful.

The hotel is located in the heart of Athens. The hotel is clean and well kept. The staff is professional at times not very helpful. The staff at the front desk seem to find the guest annoying. I would not recommend this hotel if you’re expecting outstanding service for a hotel that presents itself as a luxury hotel. My tv in the room was not operating properly and I notified the front desk and the answer I received was that the WiFi signal was to weak. This means to me that they were aware of the issue and never addressed it and never addressed for my stay. I found it difficult to make payment for my stay because I had to replace my credit I used to book the room because I had a fraudulent charge on that card. When I attempted to change it on hotel.com web site I was unable to do so even after calling their help line who said they could not assist with accepting the new card. The hotel billing department was unable to accept a new card until it was two days before I arrived. You can image my concern not knowing if my reservations was not going to be canceled. I received an email from hotel.com that my reservations might be canceled because my form of payment was not being accepted. As I already stated I notified both hotel.com and the Astor hotel of the issue and both said they couldn’t assist me. This caused undo stress prior to arriving in Athens.
