Room was badly maintained. Dirty surfaces regarding windowsills, bedside tables etc with stains on carpet, wallpaper peeling off walls , dust on lampshades. Tea and coffee station dirty and not maintained daily. Grout in bottom of shower black, warm water in shower took ages to come through, shower door poorly fitted. We couldn’t wait to get out and about every day. Swimming pool was cold. Staircases and landings not vacuumed. Hoovers left in gangways of landings in the morning- a trip hazard. A very tired looking hotel that needed a lot of money spent on it to simply come up to standard. Heard one guest informing reception that there was an infestation of ants. Did not reflect this Hotel booking app rating of 8.2 - has made me regret using this app to book. I have lost confidence in this app. Terrible

I travel a lot. So called blue chip hotels could learn from this one. Well kept, clean modernised room, old building but clean. More importantly, happy helpful team.

Nice big room on first floor. Very comfy beds. No housekeeping all week - not sure if you have to ask for clean towels, empty bins ?? Good buffet breakfast. Location was just a short walk to the beach and nearby parks. 10 min walk to train station Weather was lovely so we had a good week.
