Excellent location - especially for exploring Hardy’s life and background. Enjoyed the many walks which were very dog-friendly. The cottage is comfortable, with a range of old and new furniture. The garden is a great place to relax and not overlooked. We really enjoyed our visit.

Lovely cosy cottage, in a pretty village. Not that peaceful as it's used as a rat run for the local white van men. Lovely walks to Dorchester and the surrounding woods. Everything we needed, and lots of space, loved by our dog.

A nice cottage set in a good area, not far from Dorchester. Lovely view of fields etc. Footpaths nearby. Not far from Thomas Hardy's cottage. The cottage was nice but could do with updating. New kitchen units and a new bathroom put in. Bed was lovely to sleep in. A nice large garden to sit in. Two nice tearooms nearby. The Pine lodge tearooms and the one. at Hardy's cottage.
