The very nice hotel in middle of Sliema is conveniently situated near shopping and restaurants. The rooms are nice and have a small balcony. The hotel has a rooftop pool with nice views on all sides, city and sea, and a beach club nearby, where you can sunbathe all day beside an infinity pool. The breakfast is remarkably good, service also is very nice.

We stayed in apartment 6C and did not have hot water for the majority of our stay even after informing reception multiple times. There was also a terrible drain smell.

Positives, excellent friendly staff., super helpful. Great breakfast. Margaux restaurant excellent. Super comfy bed . Decent central location Some issues, which tried to be fixed, positive, we got a room upgrade- downside things were not working in the room , got woken 730 by some sort of building work, dribbly cold shower, two power cuts, air conn not working, room felt tired. In fairness to staff they sorted the issues quickly and offered a free drink which was much appreciated . But tbh the shower was still not functioning properly, but at least it was now hot! And we had air conn. We were told the beach club was open pm and no booking required, when we turned up it was all locked and closed at 8pm, apparently closed two days early due to weather !. … which during the week had been sunny and 26-28 degrees. So internal comms to front desk at. Went to an adjacent restaurant which was rammed and buzzing, so not sure why 1926 chose to close the beach side one, tbh it was a reason for booking this hotel, so somewhat frustrating. But overall this is a good hotel, with super friendly staff who are very customer focused.

Overall the hotel was not bad, but attention to details is missing. All staff was very friendly but getting an answer to your question was a challenge. Hotel operates on app and most of things like spa, swimpool, excursions need to be booked through the app. Unfortunately you would need to book before your arrival since many things are booked out a week in advance. Breakfast buffe is a crossover between Irish/British breakfast and a school cantine. There's a trade breakfast on 11th floor perhaps that one is better but we didn't get to book it. Overall you can see that cutting costs is taking place in food quality and building maintenance.

We spent 3 nights at 1926 Le Soleil. Here are some comments: 1. We had to wait 20mn to check in although there were not any other guests before us. Check in is done through an app loaded on your mobile. You are supposed to enter your room with your phone. But it did not work and they had to give us an old fashioned key. 2. Every morning, we were told breakfast was not included for us (it was) then they let us in after consulting to reception, 3 days in a row:) same story. 3. It was very windy on our last day, and we wanted to use infinity pool by the sea side. They said we can not use the pool due to security reasons. The sea was dangerous but the pool area situated on upper level was very safe and and there was absolutely no safety issue at all. 4. When we asked a glass from bartender to get some water from lobby area, she first went to ask permission from reception, after some consultation with them she finally handed us a glass. Lobby area water fountain never had clean glasses at all, always used ones. 5. No changing room at infinity pool area that is 1 block away from the hotel. You have to use the toilet (which is not usually clean) and there is not even a hanger to hang your bathing suit or towels in the toilet You have to use the toilet seat. 6. Breakfast quality was average. Overall service quality was low. I think we paid too much for this kind of service.

Best location on the island, had the 2 bedroom apartment was fabulous and the beach club makes it perfect. Would definitely stay again. Plus the staff is wonderful and especially the hotel manager was a delight.
