We were in Santa Ana to attend a funeral. We booked here because of it’s proximity from the burial site. We called the day of check-in for an early check-in and were told that they charge $50. Wow! For just 2 more hours? That’s almost half of what we paid for 1 night. Never mind. When we checked in, the hotel didn’t look like the photo’s on the pictures. It looked sketchy! Parking lot said park at your own risk! Lobby and the whole property had a weird stench. We stayed in the King bed room, The room looked good at first despite the smell. We immediately checked for bed bugs and found nothing. It was nice to have 2 TV’s with a separate living room and larger fridge with freezer. That was a plus! We had a view of the sketchy alley out back. The room was only to sleep after all. We were out all day and returned to the hotel around 1am. No parking! The one’s that were available were so skinny that we wouldn’t be able to get out of the car after parking it! We ended up in the back of the hotel at the farthest corner! There are only 2 accesses to this hotel. Front lobby and back gate. Our access cards didn’t work on the back gate! Had to walk to the front. After checking out from room, the automatic door to front lobby didn’t work! We were stuck in the courtyard. Plus a bug crawling on our counter! I took a video. Never returning here!

This is a beautiful hotel, but we had a difficult experience with them. From the start when we called to book a room, the staff seemed disinterested and simply said “book on the website.” We were a bit taken aback but did so and it was easy enough. When we went into the hotel, we did not feel welcomed. The staff member was again disinterested and short with us. We were given a parking pass, and when we asked about our second car, the staff said it wasn’t allowed and we could ask the other hotels nearby but it would likely get towed, no kindness or any other assistance or options given. The room was nice and comfortable. Only shampoo in the shower, no conditioner. Ants on the counters in the room and breakfast room. The pool and hot tub were beautiful though our key card didn’t work for it. Breakfast was a nice touch. Overall a beautiful setting but some serious issues with guest experience, and some with cleanliness.

Great big room, good breakfast, easy parking, and close to the freeway and all attractions. Will definitely stay here again!
