It was in a great location and I chose it in particular for our daughter's graduation at Gracepoint on the Friday. We were able to walk to the venue which was less than half a mile along the Essex Road and was great in that regard. The room was clean the bed comfortable and the shower powerful, plus we had a small TV on the wall which we used late on the Thursday evening. Don't know if the hotel was full or not but we didn't hear much during the night so slept quite well. There was a hospitality tray complete with brand new kettle for a hot drink each morning. There was what looked like a new standing fan in the corner of the room which we used off and on throughout our stay. Altogether this was all that we required from the hotel and there was no fuss or problems while we were there. It was comforting to know that there was 24hr reception. Overall we had a pleasant comfortable stay.

Tiles are broken in the bathroom dangerous underfoot. Only 1 double socket in the room, juggling kettle, lamp, fan and phone charger! Free wifi and on a good bus route

Nearby shops, transport links and park help with this hotels location. Though clean inside with cramped rooms crammed together, it was clean. Very low beds, thin walls in places, and very badic amenities let the place down
