  This was at least our 3rd stay here, but not since 2020. Disappointed that leisure facilities are closed but most disappointed that we had no hot water for washing or showering. We booked for 1 night as we had a concert to see, we discovered no hot water at about 5pm after checking in at 3. Alerted reception when we left around 5.30 of this issue. On Friday morning we wanted to shower and wash before checkout but still no hot water. Alerted reception at around 9.15 who said they would send maintenance man, but no one came. No hot water for our stay, no offer of alternative accommodation. I left my details on check out at 10 due to my dissatisfaction, I was assured someone would be in contact, but no. No one has contacted me, so we paid over £100 for a 1 night stay with no hot water. Not acceptable, whoever ‘Sunday’ is, they need to invest in the running and customer service. Sadly, we won’t be staying again in what used to be a great hotel!

  The room was booked as a rare weekend away so it was disappointing that we had so many issues. The location is great and the car park is right next door but the management of the hotel is not great. There was only one lift working and all the phones in the room had been removed, so any issues (of which there were a few) involved going down to reception via the stairs which took a while. You then had to join a long queue of people complaining. The biggest issues were no hot water on our floor on the Friday night; this took an hour to sort out just as we were trying to go out. Same issue the following morning, at which point we asked to move rooms. We were offered a free breakfast in compensation, but really, this didn't make up for the lack of basic facilities and we couldn't take it up as we had to leave early. Running what is supposed to be a 4 star hotel with no way of communicating with the front desk is a problem I would say, especially if your hotel is not really working properly

  The room we booked was supposed to have 3 beds. It had 1 large bed and a very bad pull out sofa bed. We know from experience that a pull out is not very comfortable and this one was horrible. The description says bed. After much talking and the manager saying they had no rooms in there hotel with 3 beds told to cancel. Easier said then done. I provided many options and finally we settled with adding a mattress on top of the existing sofa mattress. This is false advertising and should be changed. The rooms are not up to a standard 4 star. Only soap as amenities. The manager was very polite and understanding but didn’t know what to do.

  it was a great stay and the staff were very helpful and accommodating, the room was very clean and comfortable

  Stained, dirty carpet and sofa in room. Bed sheets didn’t fully cover mattress. One elevator out of order. “Things” stuck to bathroom ceiling.
