From the moment the entrance doors open into the very lavish & large lobby area , you know that this is not a usual run of the mill hotel . There is a labyrinth of rooms & corridors , each with an array of unique furniture , artifacts or , original structural features . The bedroom was comfy & quiet , evening meal was good , with a portions that actually fill you up after a days work . Breakfast although slightly more expensive than what I would have expected , which also meant it exceeded my authorised business allowance , was cooked well & with a good choice . However , it is many years since it had a major refit & it will probably soon be due for another one in certain places . I also noted to the nice & pleasant reception girl upon leaving , that their bedroom service staff need to pay a little more attention to detail , to which she said that she would bring to their attention that day . Overall a good stay & when working in the area again , I'll stay there once more .

Lovely pool jacuzzi area but let down by no external shower..people were going into pool jacuzzi straight from sauna/steam room...great steam room...hottest ive been in.Best dinner in restaurant ive had for a long while..v good chef..have the Lamb..its worth it.

Good place to stay sauna,spa, pool very relaxing could do with some music in these areas. Outside areas look tired, need some tlc, bushes in garden rooms in need of being Tidied up .

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night and found it to be great. The staff were really helpful, the pool was lovely and warm and the rooms were clean. The only issue we had was that the hotel was obviously having problems with water pressure. We could have a boiling hot shower but if you tried to turn the cold tap on, the whole lot stopped working. Other guests were having the same problem and it was also causing issues in the pool area. We spoke to the lady at reception and asked if we could have a room with a shower that worked. She went upstairs herself to check the shower in an unoccupied room and gave us a new key. We were very happy to find that we had been upgraded which was a nice surprise. We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent. I also had a massage in the spa and it was probably the best massage I've ever had. It wasn't perfect, but problems were dealt with efficiently and the atmosphere was really friendly. I would stay again.
