Staff were very friendly and beds were really comfortable, however, the hotel does appear to be in a period of transition. At the time of our visit the lift wasn't working, and there was no food available in the hotel. On a minor point the TV in the room couln't pick up a signal , maybe due to it's position right by the Wrekin. At first glance the hotel does appear to be in an isolated spot, but it is less than 30 minutes drive to all the attractions of the Ironbridge Gorge, Shropshire Hills and Shrewesbury. Telford is about 15 minutes away, and there are a good choice of restaurants there. All in all I would be happy to stay there again.

Absolutely disgusting place the photos must be old. I had to wait 15 minutes to get checked in in that time there was countless local living in there and asking me for cigarettes so not a good start then got my room key went up after ten minutes looking for the room as sign's are terrible then when in the room the bed sheets had makeup stains all over them so I had to go and find staff to change them. The bath had rusty marks in the tub nearly all the way through and the room and hallways also smelled really bad of cigarette smoke. On the first night I had no sleep as there was so much noise from children running up and down the corridors as well as the locals where the same going from room to room which went on until 04:30 and the second night was the same but even louder which is when the manager eventually said something. It's supposed to be a 3 star it needs to be minus 3 my recommendation is stay away from this grubby place as the owners are there for a quick buck and don't care about this place and especially their customers.

Room ok shower curtain in bathroom was real dirty,can hear through the walls in bedroom work men’s alarms going off at 6am, there was no food. If you wanted a drink in the bar in the evening you had to go ask the receptionist to serve you, think we were the only couple in the hotel apart from work men, definitely would NOT stay here again.

Not the cleanest cobwebs on the extractor fan in the bathroom and thick dust …lovely location but not well kept at all .. floor tiles as you go into main reception all loose .. all bins over flowing on the patio.. shame because could be lovely Staff friendly

First issue to mention is that the hotel offers no catering at all, therefore no dinner or breakfast options. Bar area is stocked with only tins or bottles, no draught beverages. Lift out of order.
